I am an author and publisher. I also am a user and dedicated believer of the WhiteSmoke writing software featured in this website.

Prior to writing professionally, I was a student (seemingly forever), and then a business professional (engineer), ev entually becoming an executive in high-tech businesses, some of which were my own companies. The need to write with proper and correct English became a necessary and valuable skill throughout my life. This writing skill facilitated not only personal letters and electronic communications, but also business and professional effectiveness. Nothing enriches personal communication more than being able to write meaningful and proper prose to your friends, would-be friends, and family.

Similarly in a business or professional environment, nothing can be more impressive to customers, partners and even competitors than if you effectively communicate with crisp, concise and properly structured written documents. Alternatively, nothing can cause more personal embarrassment, or greater potential financial consequences, than if you inadvertently reveal to someone, whom you wish to impress, that you cannot express your thoughts and ideas clearly through proper written English. Often we never fully realize the importance of negative impressions, which we may create by displaying ineffectual or grammatically incorrect writing.

I learned to write through years of effort and training. Word processing programs helped but they were not complete and dependable tools.
